Hi LLP, making a police report is the right thing to do, you could have been seriously hurt by this guy, intention to cause hurt with a dangerous weapon is not a light issue. I wonder why he has a rod in his Lexus? A potential road bully....

But, I do agree that reporting the matter is the right thing to do. Let the police handle this. Threats like these should not go unnoticed. Imagine if it were a lady golfer instead. Reporting to DC or police won't do shit. Singapore police can't be bothered with such complaints unles somebody's hurt or you are some bigshots.

As for DC, if he denies your claims, then nothing can be done.

mitatr, I'm afraid I disagree with your approach. There's no reason to stoop to that level. I appreciate why we would want to retaliate that way but it only means that we're no different. We should be better.

I'm not suggesting that we hug and kiss dolts like that. What we can do is:

1. Accept that the world will always be filled with idiots.
2. Try to ignore them (though this is hard).
3. Get on with life.

But in LLP's case, this chap got aggressive and made threats. In that situation, let the authorities take care of the problem. Getting into a streetfight may seem like the right idea at that time but I doubt it will resolve the issue.

i definitely didn't suggest a streetfight because that would be stupid. It's always easy to say 'forget it and let's move on', but when the needle pokes us, story will be different.

I'm interested to see if the DC or police would react to this report.

i have called police myselfm when i had tenant issue before. But the police turn up, take details, but said they cannot do much because "no peace was disturbed", unless there is a violent incident( not threats only), it is not criminal. Up until threats, it is only a civil suit.

I was boiled up the entire afternoon thinking of what had happened. Having read all the posts here and much thoughts I have the following conclusion....

If it was 20 years ago.... I would have killed him.

If it was 10 years ago.... I would have slapped him.

But today..... I am told to love him!

He must have been deprived of love. I sympathize him. Noone loves him. He MUST have lost heavily in his bet, probably losing hundreds of thousands which resulted in him having to sell his car which was used as a pretence as a rich man. Hence, he was admiring his car for the last time. To think I had only lost $60 to my flightmates today, he must have suffered a huge blow. Right, Rex/Aloy/Ryan?

Great tt LLP see the bigger picture... Life's more than getting angry over the idiot! I also gets into these situations, and reflecting back I realized the possible consequences if I lost my cool.

Having said tt, we should take note of Lexus G300 plate no 883. If anyone else have trouble with him should post it here and gather all as evidences. And those who somehow knows 883 driver, pls advise him on his behavior.
