| MBGC black tee? I would've thought that the black tee at MBGC would be the green of the hole before. | |

All long hitters .............. Alvin and ZX definitely long hitters ... GF definitely very very straight hitter but not really that long For me, the game will be very worth it cos will have 4 Par 3s, 3 Par 4s and 11 Par 5s ... btw ZX, did u arrange with the mighty chipmunk? cos I have not officially challenged him yet

| Bro,
I played at MBGC last Thursday from blue tee. But, the blue tee was located at the black tee box. it was tiring game. i only noticed they shifetd the tee after playing 3 holes. Any reason why they do so?

| Hi Noodleball,
Consider this as a soft launch of the black tee boxes ... on weds and thurs, blue tees will be located at the black tee boxes.
The main reason for this is a give a new experience to golfers who have been playing at MBGC for some time.
Also, for better players who complain that MBGC is too easy and short, it is to give them a chance to try out the full 6561 meters of Marina Bay.
After the soft launch, we will probably require a certain handicap (possibly 12 and below) to be allowed to play from the black tees. However, for now, it is open to anyone to try.

| Hey Noodleball, trust me, I have absolutely no intention to play from the black tee on a regular basis either. Just entertaining my 2 long hitting friends ...
I personally prefer playing from the white all the time ... scores look better also

| Hey Blee ... I definitely don't find it short from the blue tees ... on hole 8 and hole 14, unless there is a strong backwind and I hit a great drive, no chance to make it on in 2. I'll just try to pitch in close, hopefully 1 putt, if not, accept the bogey and walk away.
I believe some people find it short because there are times whereby the blue tees are shifted to the white tees in order to promote a quicker pace of play, especially so on weekends.

| Hi Derek,
I was just wondering why the sudden change. I used the Golfshot apps to keep my score. So, the change if tee box location affect the score keeping.
Hope your group will enjoy the tee box position.

For too long we have both all talk no action... And finally things are finally in place for our show down. No doubt... The wager will be big... Very very big... We cannot insult all the preparation you have done to the course with peanuts wager right? (p.s. For your info, Peanuts was known as $10k once) But no worries... It will be no where close KLJ ok...

| Today I experienced Derek's experiment... Played there with fellow beginners, and found to our delight (yeah right.... makes bad scores worse ) that the WHITE tee from hole 10 onwards (if not mistaken) has moved back to where BLUE was. Couldn't find BLUE anywhere. 10 meters behind WHITE... there is BLACK... ah so.... We soldiered on, and on hole 11 big big gust ala St Andrews came, and my tee-shot went high, up to about 150 m and voila, blown back landed at 110 or so... bah.. Anyway some soul who is a "beginner" played impressively straight today, and broke 90... You know who you are! Congrats but definitely you're going to begin to give strokes from now on... | |
