| True. To protect the turf, speed of play and safety of other players. However, sometimes clubs don't check cos nobardy playing on weekday anyway so if can earn money why not lah. So thats why they go abit lax i feel | |

Will cost them more if newbie mess up the course... Epsecially not repairing pitch marks is very common nowadays! Courses should really be more precies there. In some cases even the caddies provided by the course do not rake bunkers or repair pitch marks and divots!

| It all depends on whether the club has sufficient golfers playing. If the club has no one playing, I doubt they would care very much. | |

| true. but I think it's also to keep the guy behind the screwed up flight sane. I've played behind a flight of 4 who can't hit pass the red tee box consistenly, shank and slice like crazy, top every fairway shot. I takes them 8 stroke to get onto the green on a par 4 in average. We can't do anything since it's a tournament event other than grumble and curse.
score wise ? one of the worst score we ever had.

I never thought I play in front of you leh, dmateo But seriously, agree that enforcement needed but I've seen ppl with proper hcp who dont do the courteous course behaviors. Conversely I have seen ppl without a handicap card who does everything right and adhere to all safety precautions... So it's more about enforcement of safe and courteous behavior rather than hcp on it's own....
