what competion or tournament allows to use range finder?

Does anyone know what kind tournament allows to use range finder? Of course I know PGA doesn't allow. How about armature tour? Or other social tournament event? By default, is the range finder allowed? If yes, is there any specific limitation? Like slope mode not allowed etc?

I also wonder during the practice round of PGA or asian tour, do caddies use range finder to mark distance?
