Thomas Levet could miss next week's British Open after breaking his shin jumping into a lake to celebrate his victory at the French Open.

The former Ryder Cup player has a cast on his leg as a result of his exuberant celebration at the 18th hole at Le Golf National on Sunday, ruling him out of the Scottish Open starting at Castle Stuart on Thursday.

The 42-year-old Levet's management company, IMG, says he is receiving "intense treatment to the fracture" and will consult with a specialist this week in a bid to make the Open.

Levet leaped into a lake after beating England's Mark Foster and Denmark's Thorbjorn Olesen by a shot, ending his 25-year wait to win his home championship.

I'll tell you how it works if you take the pill, Neo Very Happy

on a side note....Mark Foster has been doing quite well lately, he was top 3 at the BMW, Playing with Sergio on the last group.

I saw him hitting balls at the den couple of months back, I thought he was swinging good but not overly impressive for a Pro. The boss was working on his clubs while he hit balls. Eric must have put some bomoh magic in there.

its not me for sure....but Mark is doing very well indeed.

He has been seeing my mentor Nick Middleton for putting lessons since the beginning of this year. he is showing great progress and the "flathead" is very apparently in the setup. he has also have a routine that suits his personality which is great. hopefully Mark will win a title soon.

the other lad who is making a big splash is Chris Hanson who plays on the Europro Tour. he bought (yes paid with cash) for a ZEN ZAP with a F360 shaft and won 2 times in 3 weeks.

Europro Tour.

unfortunately i will not be going to the Open this year but Nick will be there and i am sure Prom and LCB will go and say hello and maybe get a tuneup.
