| Hi Guys,
Need some help. Currently using a Cobra Baffler hybrid (3H) which I am hitting quite well with good distance. Problem is with my 4I which is failing me these days. Was thinking of replacing the 4I with a hybrid but not sure which degree I should buy.
Currently using the Mizuno MP 53, 4I is 24 degree while 5I is 27 degree.
Should I get a hybrid 4H (22 degree) or 5H (25 degree)?
Appreciate any advice. Thanks.

| Yup. Some more same brand, so loft gap will be covered nicely. | |

| Bro... he is asking about the "degree" lah... because his 4I is 24 degree while 5I is 27 degree.... however the hybrid 4H is 22 degree and 5H is 25 degree...
Maybe can try both and see which one will fill up the gap between your 3H & 5i?

| Generally, many use hybrid to replace long iron...
eg, 3H is use to replace 3I, 4H is use to replace 4I
but personally i think a more effective way is to find the hybrid that could fill up the gap difference
for eg, your 3H is 180m and your 5I is 150m, the you should find a hybrid that cover this gap, it could be 4H, could be 5H...but you have to know what distance to cover and test it out on the hybrid and look for the distance.

| Brand new ones? Not sure if BFG Keppel has the model and degree that you are looking for, maybe you can call and check it out.... oh and I don't know whether the shops at Bishan allows you to try... | |

| Piero, keep a lookout on one of the SSN range sessions if I or bro Golfool sign up. I have a 4H, GF has a 5H. Asahi has 4H. You can try ours and see how far they go with your swing.
btw i have the same set up: a 5i and a 3H. I found 4H fits the gap nicely in between, it's good for long par 3s and second shots on avg distance Par 4s. Usually ard 165m. But that's just me.
btw, Adams A12 Pro, Cleveland Mashie/Launcher and Ping G15 has 23 degree hybrids. It's exactly 4 deg in between 3H and 5i.

| i think GF will have a 6H after his game with the chipmunk on the 28th....
piero, to spot for GF, just look for a handyplast outline on his shirt around the nipple area....

| Handyplast?
Err... Hows that supposed to mean?
Thanks guys... Pushslice, I was thinking of a 4H also... distance including roll should give me about 165M.

| my 4 H dun give roll (i hit fades). One short hop then stop. Maybe two on the firmest greens. Very good to hit greens for shorthitters.
check out the "6 Hybrid" thread for the Handiplast story.

| I use TM09 3H 19 degree and TMSF2 5H 24 degree.... So if you are looking for the same degree as your 4I the TM BSF2 5H is exactly the same... (if you are not allergic to TM that is ) In range - hit about 150-160 with the 5H not much roll and 165-170 already with my 3H - so diminishing returns... in real fairways .... well let's not go there - too embarrasing (like bro nientsu n duval stared me puzzlingly when I used hybrids on par 3 130 ) I agree with bro MC about just concern more about gap distance rather than the degrees.... | |
