| Hi,
Looking at buying some club (probably wedge) when I'm back in SG. Are we allow to handcarry 1 or 2 clubs on the plane? If checkin, how to protect them?
thanks in advance. | |

| Ask for club shipping box when you buy your clubs. The shop will pack for u the same way it got shipped to them. | |

thanks in advance. U are not allow to carry on board. Best is bring a Sunday bag overseas , buy the irons , stored n check in with Sunday bags . Those semi hard sunday bag, not those which u can fold n roll Cos with a Sunday bag , bag handlers knows what's inside n know how to handle it, With a box , u need a sticker, n even if your box+ club r damaged, airline or airport is not going to pay u. Unless u have your own insurances And when u return to spore u will not be tax 7%.

| I would take Morganoh's word of advice, he flies very often. Probably the best person for airline related advice. | |

Your putter length is already minimum 33 inches... how can this fit in the overhead cabin?

| As suggested, take a hard Sunday bag than invert the club head down to the bottom of the bag to protect the head (can only be down with irons). | |

| No golf clubs are allowed in the cabin of a plane.
The last time I bought a wedge in San Francisco, the shop actually helped me to bubble wrap it and place it in a box for check-in.
If you are only buying a wedge, talk to the golf shop and I am sure they will be able to help.
When you check in the box, just tell the counter staff that it's golf clubs and to place a fragile tag on it.
It will be okay. | |

| Just came back with my new putter. Told cannot hand carry on plane so asked the shop to box it. Then tell check-in staff at airport to paste fragile sticker on box. Upon arrival collect from odd size luggage counter. Very simple and putter also safe. | |

| Theres only "2 person" that can carry golf club on board he aircraft, but it also depends on the airport customs/security guy. Some countries ok, but some not ok
Some countries security really like to give trouble to the "2person" They even ask to "2 person" to throw away nose hair trimmer found in their bags. The "2 person" have access to a big axe on board the plane , what harm can a nose hair trimmer brings,
So sorry just some small complains. Cos nowadays the securities are getting more and more paranoia.

| i fly quite often with my set, most often i will use the long plastic bags provided when you buy your clubs to wrap the golf clubs. during check-in just get the counter assistant to label item as "Fragile". till today, my clubs are all OK. Please do not proceed to check-in with your club, normally they will either get you to check-in again at the baggage counter or dispose it off if you dun want it. they consider this items as dangerous... | |
