| Hi All, I'm a newbie who is looking at getting a complete golf set to start playing with. Recently, I came across a set - Wilson Prestiges (12pcs set graphite shaft + bag) at Golf House. I'm wondering if anyone here uses it before? Is this a set suitable for beginner? Hope to hear your sharing soon. Thanks in advance.... | |

| Hi Mlow and Wilsonang,
My suggestion for your first set is to grab everything second hand. At the initial stage, you may not know what type of clubs you like, or what is suitable for you. There is a very high chance that you will switch to something else later.
Golf clubs are very individual, even people with similar swings have different preferences for clubs, let alone people with wildly different swings.
In fact, you can ask around the forum to see if anyone is willing to sell their beginner sets which are gathering rust (so to speak) ... you might be able to get it for a token amount.
As for drivers, woods, hybrids and putters ... head down to far east and see what 2nd hand stuff is available, u might be amazed.
I don't think we have ever polled it ... but I suspect that not a single person in the forum who has been golfing for more than 2 years is using the same golf set as when they first started learning to play | |

| If you are looking for complete set, this set is quite cheap... if you wan to spend more, some shops will sell TM clubs in a bundle as a full set and it will definitely cost more. | |
