Golf Republic Challenge League - Div 1 (Challenges and trash talk)

And now the news you have all been waiting for......*drum roll*.....

The league will start this Saturday, 14 May 2011 onwards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the way till our charity game in Dec 2011.

Of equal importance, the confirmation/informing challenges to the divisions' managers namely moi, slinger and wilkang will only start tomorrow, 12 May 2011 from noon onwards.
That is to say, we will accept only accept the notification of challenges from tomorrow noon onwards.

Now, how to go about on the challenge.
e.g. A challenges B, if agreed on place/time, proceed to inform the respective managers via PM. Thereafter, the managers will reflect the challenges for the week in the respective divisions' threads.

So take note hor, only PM the managers once a challenge has been agreed on and confirmed.

Now.....let the challenges beginnnnnnnnn.......

No lah ... not high hand ... just trying to move down to my proper position in the division ... there is no way I should be above guys who can shoot in the 70s at Tanjong Puteri

Anyways, weekdays can with advance notice, mon on tuesday afternoon should be easier. U mind playing at MBGC? I'm sort of based there ...

6. In order to discourage inactive members, they should suffer some form of penalty... i.e. say 2 levels drop for every inactive 4 weeks. And if consecutively inactive for 12 weeks, his/ her slot will be forfeited and a new member introduced. So we should also be maintaining a waiting list to standby keen GRians join the league


7. For those unable to challenge 5 placing above, can PM the committee to request for other challenges. i.e next 2 placings above


8. For Premier Division golfers, please inform slinger of the challenges and update him on the results.
For Division 1, yours truly and for Division 2, wilkang.

Clarification, the format of play is Match or Stroke? or up to both party to agree?

Don't know all the players a bit scare scare to issue the challenge.

The consolidated league standings of all 3 divisions will be updated on every Monday and shown on the 'Table and R&R' thread.

I'm NSRCC member also, but will need to take leave to play, and since new job and on probation, can't really take leave for another 2 months lah.

Not high hand lah, only time got chance to smell high 70s is on really short and easy course with very wide fairways, not many hazards, a hot putter and a lot of lucky bounces (e.g. Palm Villa from White Tee).

Anyways, 23rd and 24th May I am good for game in the afternoon if u can make it.
