Check with your coach. He/she will know you abilities the best and should be able to advice you accordingly.

Go on to the internet and do research. an example is www.golfalot.com

This web site gives you an introduction to the various types of equipment and also its functions / purpose. Armed with this knowledge, you should be able to go to the shop and ask the relevant questions and not get "SMOKED" by the sales people. Shocked

Meet up with the forumers here and ask them politly if you can try out their golf clubs. You can also do this at some golf shops. Try as many different brands and models as you can. From here you can slowly eliminate the brands till you find one you are very comfortable with and then you can buy it. This will start you journey into the DARK SIDE of the force..... affraid

Trust me on this. I am trying very very hard to resist the temptation to buy a new set of EPON golf clubs at SGD$2K... Suspect

My coach once told me...

If you can chip properly, you can pitch properly and subsequently use your iron properly.

If you cant use your irons properly, forget about woods and driver.

If I were you, work on your wedges and irons. Dont concentrate on the distance. Focus on straightness and ball impact.

Golf requires patience. You cant learn everything overnight. Some people here been in the game for years, and they are still taking lessons. Some people here shoots 70s, and they are still learning and taking lessons.....

if you need to get driver, get those more fogiving ones...the best that i can think of is out of stock already but go look at 2nd hand stores. It should be going cheap and good.

Those you can just whack and it would somehow go quite straight....if it doesn't, there is something very wrong with the swing and you probably need professional help.

Any easier clubs than those would be a club that can swing itself...
