| Hi folks,
Would like to ask for some opinions here
i own a Bettinardi BC6 plumbers neck. There is virtually no offset at address despite the plumber's neck. so the alignment is easy.
i also recently bought a Scotty Tel 3 from a brother here and the putter have almost the same profile as the bettinardi. but the difference is there is a 1 inch offset and it kind of makes it hard to putt a straight line or take aim.
can any kind soul provide me some feedback on how to align that offset?
Haiz.. sometimes the most beautiful things in life give you the most headaches.. hee
thanks

| I also own a Scotty Tel3 bought from an infamous forumer here (I'm doubting it's authenticity now, but not to sidetrack).
I place my ball just in front of the centerline during address so I'll catch it on the sweet spot, only thing I focus during address is the putter must be square to the alignment line on the ball as I putt with a straight back through. Find that this way my ball travels along the intended line.
this is my style though, hope it helps.

| Yes, 1 inch does make a big difference in alignment, at least to me. Compared to no offset, no offset easier to aim as the alignment is straight forward. I believe adjustments need to be made if there is offset
I'm not sure. That's why I'm asking. Haha

| andrew you may want to take it in for a lie and loft check.
once the hosel is bend, it can lead to the shaft pointing ahead of the face from the intended offset which is a shaft offset.
from experience renode, i have not seen any tel3 fakes, just badly refurnished ones. if you want to be sure you can always bring it in for a check.

DGman thanks DGman, will come visit you to authenticate it. It looks well kept though so if it's the real deal, it's a damn nice putter.

| Went to the den today and managed to get DGman to help me with the putter. will take it out for a spin tomorrow and see whats the results. thank you so much DGman amid your busy schedule.. the den was packed and bustling with life.. DGman didnt managed to give me tips on how to improve putting... hahahaha even better, he introduced me to a special scotty "bling bling" that i think i will find it hard to resist. in fact, i think any scotty fan will find it hard to resist! even more, he told me "yes, its for sale"... Oh man... i cant sleep tonight.... | |
