the first booking for the ZEN ZIM was in July 2010 just before the Open. there were 2 previous prototypes and this is the final commercial release in what is know as the Tour Works. from what i know there is a long queue for them and we do not have that many putters outside those booked. the first person who got this putter was someone who while waiting for his iron grips to dry, decided to venture to the putting green. he made the mistake of stroking with the ZIM. anyway he is french and when his customised putter was handed to him, he proceeded to put all 5 balls into the hole. he walked out a happy man. there are 3 hosel. 1. a centreshaft - face balance 2. a quarter-neck - 70 % heel weighted (for those who love to manipulate their strokes and a arch takeaway), and finally 3. the midslant - 45% heel weighted (for slight arch takeaway) the only one that can use the F360 shaft now is the midslant but a new shaft adaptor is on its way from Sheffield this weekend. also to add to the launch of these putters, the inventor and CEO of ZEN UK, Mr Nick Middleton will be in town from next week. we will hold a small party at the House of Zen and will keep everyone informed. we hope to get Nick to share with you whats about to come and the product lineup for the next 2 to 3 years, starting from the Diamond Jubilee and Centenary Putter. thank you for your interest. | Mr Middleton and his wife Joanne are vegetarians (but fish is ok). let me figure something out and depending on dates, we can also invite Mr Steve North, who is the director of golf at St Andrews Golf Academy in St Andrews, Kingdom of Fife.
we are all traveling to china from 11 to 14, so before that will be great. if it happens before the 11th, i could invite Matt the Stat (caddy to Mark Foster) and Jude O'Rielly (caddy to Henrik Stenson) who happens to be in town next week for whatever reasons best known to them.
that way you can have a really unforgettable experience with all the people involved in Golf. hows that for a plan.
