After all the hype, I had to feel the real thing in person, so I dragged the infamous equipment whore, Mr. andrew-golf, down to BFG with me.

We probably spent around 30-45 mins playing around with some of the Zen putter samples there. The weight of the ZIM putter seems to promote a very smooth swing. Roll was nice and feel was good. I suspect, I have not felt the best of the putter given that I was in my office attire and did not quite get settled down given that I was making the trip within lunch hour.

Another putter caught my eye though and I thought it felt great. I think it was something like "ZZW Prototype" but I was told its not for sale. That putter got my heart excited!!!!!

ZZW... there's already a waiting list for that model and the estimated delivery time should be in the 1st quarter of 2012

Just to confirm, the one on demo is centre shafted and the putter head size is in between the ZIM and blade right?

with a bit of luck, the ZZW will be making its debut next week at the Barclays. one is already in the player's bag and the standby should be in BM by tuesday morning. its different from the one in the Den cos there is an additional marking.

i will be at the practice green for most of tuesday and wednesday.

My FR on my new black ZIM.

Collected it yesterday. Took it out for a spin today at Kranji

1st green - left with 20 ft up & down, right to left.
Virgin putt - took my stance, line the putt and let it roll.
Tracking and tracking......the ball rolled into the cup for a birdie!!!

Wah!!! Happy like bird!

The roll for the retail ZiM is definitely consistently good as the prototype.
Slight difference is it is softer feeling than the prototype.

Very happy that I have got it!
Can expect more good things from this black beauty.

Coming from a noob like me.. I finally took mine out to OCC on Friday and today's Kranji game. I used to have many 3 putts over 18 holes (at least 6 per game). But for the last 2 games, I am averaging 2 putts and also managed to sink a few in 1. Very happy and satisfied with the ZIM. Also want to thank DGman for the putting tips during fitting too. Smile

I was down at the den few weeks for some other 'project' and wanna get myself fitted for the Zim at the same time too but was rushing for time.

I too was looking for a mid-mallet head and almost wanted to get the Scotty Sonoma until.....

Looks like I have to make an appointment soon!

Thank you. I tried the ZIM for the first time yesterday, and I LOVEEEEEEEEE ITTTTTT..... I still have a couple of three putts, but generally my putting had improved tremendously.
