hmm it's too much of a sacrifice on his part to be a PR move. imagine, all earnings plus money for every birdie for a whole year? quite tough to make a decision like that. it literally means for a whole year he's teeing off every hole hoping to make a difference for his country. quite intense if you ask me. of course there's the whole "he makes a lot more from endorsements, etc." argument, but it's still a massive sacrifice. plus before this he was already HUGE in japan! haha.

i think it's just real class on his part, and a great show of humanitarianism. it's great to see a well-grounded world class athlete that's able to discern that a country in turmoil and suffering is more important than a few private jet rides and a car (?). haha couldnt come up with much of an analogy. following pple like ian poulter, etc on twitter and seeing the way they spend is crazy. sacrifice abit of that and send it to Japan (or any country in need) i say!
