| hi all,
anyone interested in miura irons? thinking of doing a MO or something to save on shipping costs... i like this set of MBs... although i am quite lousy and can't hit it for nuts, but just buy and keep at home to admire or hit it occasionally in the range to practise hitting the sweet spot...

| Its available at TorgueGolf, laguna. Have tried their Tour Blades, CBs and baby blades. The first thing that came to my mind at address was, 'Wa!! the clubhead damn small and thin lor!!!' After a few mishits, I finally hit an ok shot with it. I must say that its rather memorable. .....You can expect the smoothness fron a forged iron. How do I describe it....hmmm.....I could feel that at a split second, I could feel the ball compressing onto the face and then launching off. Crisp sound as well!! Din buy it because I just bought a mizzie set this year. Changed its shaft too.... leaving me with no budget Its quite costly, but i forgotten how much it cost......But i think for that kind of quality, its worth, if you have the cash. Wouldnt say its the best I have tried, but its defiantely the most memorable for its feel | |

| Very Swee!!! Like Nientsu mentioned, torque golf at lanuna carries Miuras. Go pay them a visit and say hi to stanley (the baby blades are nice!) Seems like many of the GR forumers like to play small, thin blades that require very good contact? Maybe can also take a look at persimon woods to complete the collection The Tourstriker training club looks like an interesting gadget/club to practise contact especially if you're from the TGM camp and believe in "hitting down".. 8) | |

| USD$1100 is a pretty sweet deal. Wonder how much is it from Stanley.
Too many stampings at the back though. Otherwise, a very nice shape and set-up.

| I believe that the OP is looking at a set of miura giken (the Japanese domestic version), not miura (the international version). There's been a lot of debates over the differences and similarities between the two and I'm not going to get into it here I'm also a big fan of miura giken and am considering their CB-2006. BTW, if you like the MB5003, you can also get it in black. I've seen it in both colors and black certainly looks nicer | |

| Got my hands on the MIURA Iron. Specifically MC-102 fitted with ALDILA shaft. There is pro shop here selling it exclusively. I wanted to get "measured" but the "fitter" wasnt around so ended up trying out the new clubs. Went onto the simulator to hit some balls and get swing recorded at the same time. I must say the technology is really good. It can show RPM, swing speed, velocity etc etc as well as record the path your club face takes about 2 feet before impact and show flight path of the ball upon impact...anyway..i am straying... So...tried the 9,7,6 iron as well as the Black Wedge series. All felt very very smooth. Minimal effort in achiving the loft. was hitting straight shots even with impact near the heel or toe area. Was suppose to buy a TM set or EPON set but looks like I have another option.... AAAAHHHHHHH......THE HEADACHE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |

| Which Epon set were you looking at? The 701 and 501 didn't feel all that great to me, although the 701 was extremely forgiving. If you're looking to get a set of Epons, you might want to wait because they're supposed to be coming out with some new irons soon.
As for Miura, I'm also considering a set of Miura Giken (the JDM version of Miura) for myself.

| Hi Lamts18
Sorry forgot to mention I based in Vietnam
Hi Golfcoma,
As I am a beginner, Started about 1.5 months ago, I have managed to go around borrowing many peoples clubs to try. And also went to some pro shops to try. Callaway X20, Callaway Big Bertha, TM Burner, Burner Plus, R7 Draw, Cobra, Miura and of course Epon.
The top 3 for a noob like me are :
EPON 701 MIURA 102 (This was the only set they had that was fitted with shafts. The shop haven;t got around to fitting all the other models yet) TM Burner Plus

| If forgiveness is what you're looking for, I think that the Epon 701 is the way to go. It's also extremely long (stronger lofts). | |

Good choice of irons you shortlisted there .. hard to choose between the Miura and Epon . The TM is a cast unlike the other 2 which are forged ... go for the set thats more forgiving for you .. I have the Miura and TM Burner 09 and i am currently playing the TM Burners.. Have a good time in Vietnam ... Cheers !!
