Strange that in the last 36 months we have had such a storm of natural disasters.

And now. Myanmar: magnitude 7.0 earth quake reported by the USGS...

Goodness. I really hope this chain gets broken soon...

This year's rabbit is hopping mad. One after another. Sigh..... I hope it doesn't create another tsunami.

actually no, its not going to stop anytime soon.
the stresses built up under the plates need to be relieved and for the last 50-100 years, there were no stress relief.

At the rate the stress builds up, it would be good to have minor quakes every now and then.
if there are no minor quakes for a long time, then a major one will be inevitable.. and if a major one is due but has not come for a while, then a mega major one will come.

the USGS has records of almost all quakes measured around the world. when the quake comes, they keep on coming.

Yea....heard that 2 major tectonic plates are grinding against each other, hence the series of quakes.

Better all these than 2012 one!

Heard that Sendai physically moved by 2.4 metres and that 8.9 quake shifted the earth's rotation until it's now rotating faster by mili-seconds a day.
