Fixing the Scoop / Chicken Wing

This guy is a beginner, only on his 3rd swing lesson and he has learnt compression and correct impact. Something many experienced golfers never achieve. Half swing, 9 iron going 100 +metres

Heres a guy that some of you may know from the forum.

He did some lessons over a year ago and came back for some tune ups.

Much better impact and hoping for some improved scores on the course

i have the same problem....

Most times the chicken wing/scoop is caused because the shaft comes in to steep on the down swing and the club face is open.
By shallowing out the down swing and correcting the club face, the problem will usually go away.



As was the case with this student.

What a difference in the ball flight as well.
The new set up helped to achieve this
