I carry the 7 wood instead of the 3 iron.....then i use the 4 and 5 hybrids to replace the respective irons....i can barely hit my 6 iron but it would be too embarrasing to swop it out..

i can't hit a 3 wood so i use a 5 wood instead....this is very much a max game-improvement set...

We high handicapper just play for show rather than end result?
Like I have been seeing high handicapper carrying a 2 or even 1 iron. Some also carry a 13* 3W instead of a standard 15* 3W

yeap, that's one of the somethings that we can draw upon...whether equipment does help (i.e. the old indian vs arrow discussion) or aversion towards SGI stuff (looks vs feel vs function discussion etc) or any other conclusion you might take away from
