Titleist AP2 Serial Number

Hi,

I have just bought a Titleist AP2 set.
Info from my friend, all the clubs should be engraved with a serial number.
But mine has only 1 club which is engraved.
However my friend's set has all the clubs engraved.
May i know whether my set is a genuine one?
Needs expert to advice on this.

I think only the no.6 iron should have the engraving.

This is what you will see if you register your product on the Tity page.

See below for the location of registration numbers for all Titleist golf clubs. If the product you are registering does not have a registration number, please enter the product's style number or provide a short description of the product.

Drivers - Hosel
Fairways - Hosel
Utilities - Hosel
Stock irons - 6 Iron Hosel

my AP2 (2009) bought from a fellow forumers here have serial number engraved on all clubs

I cannot comment so i will leave it to the guys from titleist to answer. What i can do you show you wat i see on my titleist profile page.

It is a KBS tour... Took over from a friend. Another set of my AP2 (09) with serial on 6 iron. Bought from Pan west.

Apparently tour specs do not have any serial on it.
It refers to the heads not the shafts.

Your pan west set is retail stock thus only 6 iron has serial.

Thanks for the clarification, is there ways to confirm its authenticity?

That you have to check from your friend the source of his purchase.

Else you can write in to Titleist SEA and seek assistance.
Tour irons are more tricky since there's no serial.

For wat I understand is every 6 iron should have engrave serial no. And if every club has got serial no. means is a customize set .if you are worried just use a small magnet and try put it on the tungsten sole . If stick means fake cause tungsten will not attract magnet .hope tis help .

The fake APs tungsten part will end immed after the iron numbering.
Can see on the 3 iron.

This should be a fake one .the tungsten is too short to the edge .

Yes..definitely fake..like i mentioned..the tungsten part ends just after the numbering.

Yes Genesis...this is the fake AP2.

Sorry for the delay in answering this question.

Clubs with serial #'s on the 6 iron mean they are stock or purchased off the shelf
Clubs with serial #'s on all irons mean they were custom ordered
If you have a club with no serial number it does not means its fake or a tour issue.
