Hitting a shot from Tarmac road

Its my first time that I get to see someone hitting the shot on a hard ground, let alone a tarmac road....

And I must say I am in awe of the shot as it even went past a row of trees to be 2 on for a ~2m birdie opportunity (which he missed though).

Amazing....

Whats the context of this please, some shot on golf channel for some tournament?

Charles had to hit off the cartpath blind and landed amazingly close...
