Cengkareng Golf Club - JKT / near airport

Hi all

anyone played in this Cengkareng Golf club before? it is near to JKT airport (http://www.cengkarenggolfclub.com/?menuId=7)

Great escape: Well maintain course and surrounding - walking only - after round refresh by short skirt only for restaurant waitress and free back massage in oxygen room.  have a good round!

thanks dude, will try out this course, weekday 1 ball can walk? how much?
how is the course layout? flat? hilly? jungle/water?

Be careful, if you are playing before catching a flight home.
It's hard to get a taxi there. Book taxi in advance.
I missed my flight because of that!

Mostly flat bro...near airport remember haha,some slope but it's not natural scenes, some hole with water hazards where mostly bunker hazards always in play. It's walking only course so I think you could sneak on weekday at anytime. It's not favourite course fr local golfers, no buggy + very hot climate. Just don't forget ur umbrella.

pros:
relatively quite an easy course to play. 
mostly flat fairways.
restaurant waitresses wear very mini skirt.
if you're lucky, some umbrella girls will be there if they got event.

cons:
weather is very hot over there. almost no wind.
caddy is very lazy to find ball if you OB.
taxi is quite hard to get. book before you play, not after you finish playing.

Used to tee off after landing from Sgp.. Hopped on a black silverbird from airport.. Then arranged for the driver to pick up after game to hotel.. Kinda like a way for me to acclimatize into Jkt.. 

i be staying at hotel just beside the golf course, hence i think can walk to and fro after game

If you're talking about Sheraton Hotel, its nearby but not walkable with a golf bag.

It's one of my favourite courses in Indonesia.  Very accessible but then, I had a driver when I was based there.  It's very easy course too.  My first sub-100 score was there.  

Yea- the caddies give up very fast on finding your balls so don't ask.

Cengkareng is having a tournament on the day which I wish to play, hence going to try PIK 
I know JKT traffic is bad, but does it really take 30mins to reach PIK from airport? Anyone has a reliable cab driver to recommend?

which day you planning to play? PIK is a much better choice I must say. . Are you going from airport to course or course to airport?

from airport to PIK if no traffic will take only 15mins by taxi. yes PIK is a better course in my opinion, better view, faster green, smooth fairway. take blue bird or silver bird taxi for transport.

thanks for your tip, my hotel is next to airport, hence i may go to hotel drop off my luggage then head for PIK for 11am tee off

PIK is quieter than Cengkareng cos airport is further. But some holes really stink, as in the smell from some fish factory across. Course is even flatter than Cengkareng and as wide as Cengkareng. If you have a driver, go to Muara Karang, about 5 min drive away for some good Indonesia Chinese bakmie before or after game. Especially the ones by the wet markets.

I just played Cengkareng yesterday, flat and nice course, from the blue tees, some Par 4 can be really long, good is that FW is wide enough to spray driver a bit. Rough thick and greens super super fast

Scenic course, next to airport so winds play a big part in club selection. After the game, their oxygen-enriched massage room was quite cool, its a room filled with oxygen and nice Indo gals give you a free 15mins clean back/shoulder rub.

It costs 688,000INR per game with caddie. Highly recommended to try!

How is the course condition recently?

My mates and I are planning a jakarta golf trip.

Is there a preferred time to tee off now? In jb, rain comes at 5pm clockwork. So will affect afternoon games

Dunno whether we are playing PIK.

I was thinking play Cengkareng in the morning before we fly back. That way we won't need to rush the game as traffic can be rather heavy after the game. 

On our tentative list of courses:

Cengkareng
royal jarkarta (confirmed)
sedana (interclub competition game)
lotus lakes (interclub competition game)
Emeralda
Imperial Klum

Will Afternoon tee offs be affected by rain beginning of may?

We have 8 balls

PIK is very near to the airport as well.. But having said that do allow an hour in case of traffic jams…

May is approaching Summer..

I'll go for Imperial Klub… its nearer city for one.. 

Have u guys made all bookings? Try leaving hotel early to tee off at 6am Indon time (which is our 7am)

Cengkarang will be good if you are flying back in the afternoon... Tee off at 6:30 and finished before 11... And enjoy good times checking out the waitresses at the Mulligan lounge  guys will love it
