Titleist 913D3 vs Callaway RAZR Fit Xtreme

Hi guys ,

I own a 913D2 which has too much spin and lose a lot of ball speed and distance which i got fit in a Titleist centre . So i was wondering if people try Titleist 913D3 & Callaway RAZR Fit Xtreme and how they perform in term of spin rate and ball speed . Any opinion will be appreciate . Thanks A lot

A few friends of mine play the 913D3 and they seem to like it. I don't... they drive way too far ahead.

at the Titleist fitting, the initial fit seemed to be a 913 d2 9.5 which gave me decent carry and total distance. I came from a 910 d2 9.5 and there were minor improvements. However, I was stubborn cos I wanted to play with a smaller head and lower loft this time as I was having too much spin on my 910 and still a tad too much on the 913 D2.

Requested for the d3 in 8.5. In the end, it gave me much better total distance but with slightly lesser carry. spin wise, it dropped a tonne too. The fitter was kinda surprised at the result as well.

I might be wrong, but In my opinion, I feel that the d2 still spins too much, launches abit too high, and doesn't feel as nice. The face material is similar, but I don know why it feels much hotter off the face for me on the d3. Prob it's a combi of the loft and head design differences. But I do get a lot of ball speed from it. I think that's also one of the possible reasons why many Titleist pros switched from their d2s in the 910 to the d3s in the 913s.

As for razr fit extreme, I haven tried it so I can't help with that. But I'm sure you will find better success with the d3 compared to the d2 given your level of play.

From the titlelist peeps, both the D2 and D3 have pretty much the same spin rate.
Only diff is the head shape for workability.

Since you have the D2 and it spins too much for you the D3 should be pretty much the same

In general, a composite driver like the Fit Xtreme will produce lower spin numbers

Care to share your ballspeed n spin rate? If you have attack angle that will be great too.

Cyp, what shaft are they fitting you with? You know the exact spec, as in tipping etc?

Stat :

- Club-head speed : 103
-Smash factor : 1.48
- Ball speed: 152
-Spin Rate : 3500
- Angle of attack : 2 Degree Down
- Launch Angle :14 Degree


As for my spec :I Know it a 10.5 Degree with Project X Tour Issue X-7C3 at 44.75 .

Cyp, try this first: convert that 2* down to 2* up and you'll kill the spin.

However, in my opinion: in most cases, Callaway and Adams driver will give you more ball speed than Titleist.

yeah , i'm trying to fix that but i cut by 2 my attack angle in last 2 month ... i was 4 down two month ago. but thanks for your advice Yarra

i had the 913 D3 (i just sold it) and i'm playing the fit extreme right now...

for the same shaft and specs, i'm getting about 1000 less spin and about 20m more carry with the xtreme over the D3

personally, i'm hitting longer with the extreme than i've done with any driver i've tried so far...
