Help on Driver Empty
PostSubject: Help on Driver   Help on Driver I_icon_minitimeSat Jan 29, 2011 9:36 pm

Hi Guys,

I have been using a Cobra S9.1 driver with stock shaft (ALDILA DVS - HL). When I first got my PC, I used to be able to drive up to 200m although the direction is very uncertain.

Have improved on the direction of the ball but seems to be losing distance. Average distance is only about 180m.

Anyone can advise me?

Thinking of changing to another driver. Thanks.

its the shaft.. the head is very forgiving.. the shaft affects the ball flight and dispersion

Sorry... How would you describe this shaft? Im quite noob on all these technical stuff.

Got my handicap 1 month back and after correction from my coach, the direction of flight has improved greatly but the distance reduced to 180m at point of landing...

cos the shaft is high launch.. designed for beginers to launch the ball despite a new swing..

perhaps you may wanna go to your coach and ask him to recommend a shaft

perhaps. but some school of thoughts advocate tht must hav a grooved swing to hav fitting.. someting tht i dun fully agree.

since he has a coach,, perhaps he is the best advocate..

or try the more expensive way,,

buy drivers with all kinds of shafts and try till feel good!!

ahahaha

Just one more question.

Is this considered flex or Shift flex shaft?

Anyone know?

Usually there are Reg /Stiff/ X-stiff flex. But X-stiff Flex is for very hard-hitters
