Tour issued clubs

Need some advice... I was shopping for a Titleist 909 head on Ebay and came across several offers that claimed "Tour issue" and "no serial number".

Anyone knows if Titleist driver heads really have no serial number if tour issued? Thanks in advance.

Yarra - Just read your post on the "Tour Issue Equipment". While I am not sure if all manufacturer do the serialisation thingy, I have always assumed the big boys do it to track the heads so that if got problem, they can deal with it specifically. Thanks for the education.
