Jonathan Byrd started the new year the way he ended the old one — with a victory. He beat Robert Garrigus on the second hole of a playoff to win the season-opening Hyundai Tournament of Champions at Kapalua

At golf channel, the irony was many folks tot that the Hawaiian golf course with big and wide fairways will suit long hitters....but they ie Kelly something said otherwise.

Are you for real? Just like Tiger was sponsored by Nike, he wasn't compelled to use Nike for EVERYTHING. It just meant that he was endorsed by the brand. He probably negotiated to keep using his Titleist putter.

You might wana check up on Mizuno endorsed Chris Wood, who came very close to winning the Africa Open, but lost to Louis Oosthuizen who won the 1st playoff hole with a birdie.

Majority of his equipment is Mizuno, so can consider Mizuno player la. Even Luke Donald uses a TM driver. Also, their endorsement deal is with Mizuno, I understand. For the other clubs, probably no deal.

I've not seen a PGA pro play Mizuno drivers yet, although there seem to be some talk on angmoh forum that Robert Garrigus plays Mizuno wedges.

If the company offers to pay you a substantial amount of money just to wear their cap, would you wear their cap?
