| Was shopping around for a driver, sorry i abit anal keep asking question Just now drop by Ping at Bishan Range, the boss tell me alot of things, now i damn tempting to get a customize Ping g15 or i15 irons set and a G15 Driver customised. My question is does customisation really work? There are so many discounted clubs out there, R9 only going for 199 at GH, Diablo Edge 239 at GB etc. I kind of like TM Drivers but................ ok, i am kind of noob, like to ask a question regarding Lie angle at address, i am currently using my Callaway VFT Hawkeye, currently at address i need to "tilt" the angle to a more uncomfortable position to let the club lie flat on the ground, i stand at 1.83m. Is my addressing wrong or should i get Ping and get the lie customise to my address position? But when i think about other brands of club, non of the irons allows adjust the lie angle, correct me if i am wrong. Is changing the lie angle really work? How is the Ping Drivers and Irons? Should i get it customise? I have never use a Ping iron before, don't really have friends buying it, all "Siao" the famous brands like TM, Titlelist, Callaway etc. | |

| Judging by how you have to tilt your hands and shaft to sole your club flat on the ground, you'd probably do well to see a clubfitter. As you know, you aren't of average height, and practically all brands build clubs to fit the average golfer, it's just economic sense.
The thing is, you don't only have to go to Ping to get fitted. There are many clubfitters around, and many other brands, even the famous ones your friends play, have clubs that can be adjusted for lie angle, or customised as you call it.
One clubfitter who can advise you in here is DGman of Big Fish Golf. Shoot your questions at him, he's too far away to bite. Just kidding. I'm sure he'll be more than glad to offer his expert advice.

I should pay a visit to BFG. maybe can refit my callaway but not sure if it's worth doing it since it's super duper old.

| hi hoppie, customization certainly works. Of course alot still depends on the golfer's ball striking ability to truly appreciate customization. Pay a visit to DGMan. He will dish out some pointers; just like what he gave when I did my first swing analysis with him. He commented on my swing and recommended me a coach instead! Is he a lousy salesman? You will find out. Happy Holidays! | |

| That is one of the reasons why its better to get a set of forged irons rather than cast irons. Not because the forged irons give better feel or performance, but more for having the ability of adjusting the loft and lie every now and then. | |
