| Hi all,
Just got back to golf after a long break, ok must say i am still quite inconsistent and not good even though after playing alot last time.
I like to ask how to determine whether i should be going 10.5degree or 9.5degree face angle? I am currently using an old TM R5dual with 9.5degree face, the ball flight seems abit low, i am not very good with my swing and maybe that's the reason, i can't "kick" the ball up.
I am looking to purchase a new driver but not sure whether i would like to know the diff between 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5 and how do i choose?

| It affect the spin rate of the ball got to get around 2600 rpm to get the well balance between carry and roll , but the shaft will be the second that control it . i will sugested you to get a swing analysis for driver at Big fish . he can tell you what shaft and loft will be good for you | |

| Better see a club fitter. I was using a 9.5* driver until I did swing tests at The Golf Studio @ Ubi and Custom Golf @ Bishan Driving Range. I am now using a Ping G15 10.5* with TFC SR shaft and the result is... more fairway hits | |

| 10.5 heads are normally more forgiving and thing to remember, get a shallow face driver rather than a deep face driver. Makes alot of different when you are starting the game. | |

| Deep face are those drivers where the face is higher in height where as the shallow face one is shorter in height. Just compare D2 and D3 from titileist, then you will know what i am talking about. Normally, shallow face drivers are easier to launch. THe D2 is the shallow face. | |

hmmm... Couldn't resist but smile at this comment. Those words could be quoted outta context! Lol back to the topic proper, yes 10.5 deg for higher launch And usually shallower in depth of the club face. Honestly for a noob, you are probably better served by a 3 wood (usually bout 15 deg) for tee off
