| Hi, I don't think it is available in Singapore. http://www.sstpure.com/locator.html I have tried SST pured, FLOed and spine-aligned shafts in both woods and irons. They all feel much better than non-aligned shafts, but I cannot tell any difference between them. | |

| Just to share, I have my shaft alignment analyzed, so the shaft should be in its orientation to give the most stable oscillations, not necessary "logo up" position. there is a fitter in AMK Northstar buiding that does similiar tests for your shafts, if you custom fit with them. I felt that off-line twisting and flexing during the swing and at impact are greatly minimized. it helps. | |

| Nowsaday manufacturer like Nike, Cobra don't believe in so called "spine" or "pured" alignment in shaft. They have all those driver that fit with a shaft that can turn around to create different setup. Their ground is that present shaft which are of better quality than 10 years back, does not different so much in performance when they are turned to different orientation. Based on the above statement from the manufacturer, do we still need to do the "spine" alignment or the Golfsmith's "Pured"? | |

| For woods shaft fitter use a laser is commonly known as FLO...flat line oscillation. those were the days of multilayered wraps but these days we have multi-layer, multi-directional and even multi-material being used on a shaft and the stability and consistency is much improved.
with the advancement in shaft making technology, we prefer to use OFL - Optimum Flex Line. It is almost 100% certain that the OFL is logo down or up for the better after-market shafts. The principle of FLO and OFL is quite the opposite. again it depends on manufacturer and their product.
Some product promise a +/- 1 cpm for shafts while some of the OEM shafts can have a +/- 5 cpm. it is a bit technical but what it means is some shafts are suitable for all round flex and the SST system basically give you a shaft profile that enable you to find the OFL through an all round profiling assessment.
We considered this option long ago but decided against this as the cost far out-weight the insignificant benefit. I can't see how we should charge US$25 to US$35 to show our customers what the manufacturer have already done for us for for that matter what a simple bearing can do.
i know a fitter who use this system in a neighbouring country, it is the cause of him losing customer because every shaft he sells is US$35 higher because of the SST process. Worse of all to prove that he has done his job, he tweak the shaft a bit just to show that it has been pured and in the process change the OFL.

| Thanks DGman for the technical explaination Will be interested to know what kind of different in end result if we going to spend that US25 to US35 for the SST service in let's say a driver shaft. | |

| Thanks DGman... sometimes the logo can face the side also... like the NV75 or the older Accuflex series... weesern, Yes, for most people, there is a very clear difference between spined and un-spined shafts. Depending on where the "un-spined" shaft is aligned, the difference can mean night and day. However, I have tried but cannot tell any difference between SST pured, FLOed and properly spine-aligned shafts. | |
