| Hi all, I need some advise... I'm keen to buy a new iron set, Mizzie Mp52 with nspro steel shaft r flex... Has anyone used this or currently using this set ? Any feedback on this ?
I'm currently using TM R7 Japan spec (Graphite). I've tried my friend's MP57 set (stock nspro r steel shaft) a lot of times and I really love the feel upon impact... totally different with my R7. I'm not sure how different it (Mp57) is with Mp52, but if anyone could give their opinion for these two, I'm grateful.
My other consideration is TM Burner 09 Iron... but my preference is rather at Mizzie for now....

| Oh, so much like me.. I was previously on R7 Irons and changed to Mizzie MP57. It is the feeling of sweet spot contact and the sound that attracted me to buy. Also, being forged iron, allow me to adjust the lie. (i am short) However, till now I am yet to go adjust lie. hee. So far, I have not regret... just prepare to lose some distance as loft is weaker. Not difficult to use.. I would say quite forgiving. The salesman at GOlf house told me 57 gives better feel than 52. I am not sure but I jus like the looks of 57. | |

| I'm using the MP52 with PX 5.0 shafts.. i find them forgiving enough.. ball flight is quite high, but this could be due to the shafts. The ball also lands quite softly even on long irons, which is what i really like about them.
I've also tried the 57's before, and to me both are equally forgiving, but it's true that the 57's feel better. The feel of the 52 is not as soft as the 57, in fact i think it has the harshest feel of all the forged mizunos i've ever tried. That said, it still feels very good on clean hits, something i doubt you'll ever get from any TM iron. The reason i chose 52 in the end was coz i thought it looked nicer.
I frequent the range at bt batok.. i definitely won't mind letting you try my clubs if you drop by.

| Oh yes, flight is high for me as well. but on NSPro950. I like the soft landing as well though some distance lost.. Par 3 would easily get the ball to sit on green. | |

| i have a spare set shafted with DGSL (less than 105 g) R300.
i used to play with the MP 60. the MP 57 is a lot more friendlier and the feedback is better than the MP 60 and 52.
if you want to take it out for a swing, please let me know. however it is NFS cos special sentimental value attached to the 8 iron.

| Oh yes, I love the DGSL shaft.. Previously my eye caught on a set of MP60 with DGSL. Tried a few stroke and feel so light and easy. Went for BUsiness trip.. called Den and realised it's sold.. Haizz.. it's the saddest thing in my life.. Go try it out.. bery nice. | |

| I also have a set of MP52s which I got to replace an old Mizuno cavity backed set from about 10 years back. Feels pretty good to my untrained hands, though the prevous owner re-shafted the 6-9,PW clubs from the original NSPro shafts to True Temper GS75s, which are pretty light. I frequent MBGC range, so let me know if you wanna try them out. | |

What do you wear below that pants ah ? Hm.. of cos underwear la! Actually on top of the pants should have 1 more item. It's a short white skirt with white Swan head worn on front. Okay okay, back to topic.. Me so tempted to change my 57 shaft to DGSL.. or KBS.. But CFO sure ask me for reason. keke.

| Haha!! that's a good idea. like the last time I went to den and play with mp60 on DGSL, I hinted to her.. bery nice.. bery light.. then she ask what it can improve.. tot I play fine with current shaft. Duno how to answer. Recently bought a TM 3W but hardly use. Duno y I hit badly and short with TM but 909F2, I hit ok. So, knowing I wasted money. She came up with new policy. Whatever golf items I buy, she'll take 10% levy on the cost of product. Now, my driver accuracy inconsistent. So she said, go change shaft n see if it can fix accuracy la. But I scared... scared den master turn me away. ask me go train first. This is the story of Golf, CFO & Me. | |

| Thanks everyone for the offer to try their clubs. What a friendly lot you are Anyway, yesterday, I cannot tahan and went to Golf house Marina Square to try it out MP52. I couldn't emulate the same feeling with Mp57. Not sure because it's a demo set or because I'm using my office attire (which totally not comfortable when I swing...) and no glove... and it was in an enclosed space (reason reason reason)... However, the guys there told me that Mizuno will have the demo days this Friday (3-9pm) and Saturday (after 12pm)@ MBGC, so probably I'll drop by there Friday or Sat (depending on my schedule). feizz, GH somehow not carrying mp57 anymore, but I casually chat with one of the sales there, he said can order. No details of pricing or anything though... Bro Roystonn, it's really really a bad idea to involve your CFO when purchasing any golf related items... especially got 10% levy !!! hehe... I also kana turn away by the boss before when I visited the den quite sometime back... very paiseh.... | |

Dave Hi Dave. I've been playing the MP52's wz NS-Pro since they came out last year (?). I have no regrets except for one. I should have got the 57's instead. Somewhere in this thread, there was mention of the 57's being slightly softer or better feeling than the 52's. I can personally vouch for this. That buttery Mizuno feel you are looking for is just that bit more elusive in the 52's. Since I do not actually own the 57's, I do not know how the two sets are gonna compare to each other in the area of forgiveness. The 52's are relatively easy to play. I believe that my bad shots with this club will be just as bad if I was hitting anything else. That's not to say a 36 capper should go out and buy these expecting magic. I recently re-shafted my 52's with KBS Tour 90's and I am also pleased with the performance of these shafts in these clubs. Distance seems to have been bettered and feel has also improved. Think I have wrote a pretty extensive review of it on Golfwrx. If you can find it, you'll have all my thoughts on it. Good luck and best regards. Dan
