Format of play: morning game - Best ball for team of 2
Afternoon game - alternate shot
Pairings will be based on handicap for morning game.

Went to justify taxpayer's money and 1 long list on this when I came back.

Very tempting....need to ask CO.

...but I need to state the history of this.

We did organise 1 event like this in Tering Bay early 2009. Back then we did get 24 players with a good mixture of all hdcp levels (including a pro) plus both male and female players.

Day 1 pm - Fourball
Day 2 am - Foursome
Day 2 pm - Singles

Since there wouldn't be a Singles match this time, I will leave the stroking out for that portion.

Whats impt to know back then that the ladies were a pretty strong bunch and they proved crucial in securing points for the team.

Aside from the trophy, the losing team paid for dinner.

The role of the Captains will be very impt. They shd hv played with most of the participants to determine the splitting of the group and the division status. The division status cannot be determined by the player him/herself but by the consensus of both captains.

In this case, AY cannot be Captain as he will not have any idea on pairings and team chemistry.

I am very interested to join but I cannot be in the Star Div with Timmy and if Darren plays. There will need to be more divisions but that will be the decision of the captains again on the final stroking.

If Mowen plays, I will be even more tempted and will likely join too.

You should know the reason and we were supposed to have this long time ago this year but it never happen. That explained why I wanted to brung this up here to keep this Ryder running.

WRT Captain roles, you should be 1 since you have played with most of them and came up with this.

You can nominate either Wilkang, TFP or GB as the other.

Dun need 24 players although it will be ideal. 20 is sufficient.

The stroking will be fair, trust me. The end result will not be too loopsided.

BTW, have u tied up with Palm Villa on this?

Back then in 2008, I was the captain for one of the team, kind of a joke as I have just started golf and was playing around 100 odd. What really matters was that I know all the other player weaknesses and strengths, it helps to plan a strategy to win the other team. However, that was the first Ryder we had in malacca that ended in a draw.

We had lots of fun, massage, KTV, oops..., peranakkan food, shopping with a good mix of golfers.
It will be fun this time round as we had never try the alternate shot game before.

It should be easy to tie up with them by end week, provided they don't have tournament held there. Will keep this flowing till end week to make preparation and bookings.
