After watching the parade, make me wonder how far we have come and what we have achieve even its only 44 years... watching PM choking when he gave his speech last year still give me the goose bumps... lets not take racial harmony for granted.. lets stand united and work together for more good years even if we are in a storm, things will only get better from now on... (only hope my golf will too ... ;-0 )

Watching my kids saying their pledge and sing the national anthem makes feel so honored and grateful to be here.

Was in AMK Hub when they ask everyone to respect Singapore pledge, everyone stand still and the NTUC staffs, all gather together and everyone say the Singapore Pledge together. From a small boy to an elderly lady, think around 80,s in a wheel chair......

The Pledge in English
We, the citizens of Singapore, pledge ourselves as one united people, regardless of race, language or religion, to build a democratic society, based on justice and equality so as to achieve happiness, prosperity and progress for our nation.

Kami, warganegara Singapura, sebagai rakyat yang bersatu padu, tidak kira apa bangsa, bahasa, atau ugama, berikrar untok membina suatu masyarakat yang demokratik, berdasarkan kepada keadilan dan persamaan untok mencapai kebahagian, kemakmuran dan kemajuan bagi negara Kami.

I watched the parade on telly. While I liked it, I thought it started off a little cheesy but soon picked up pace. Overall, it was impressive. Happy B'day Singapore - you've come a long way

I have participated the National Day Parade 4 times.....and I LOVE IT !!!! the true feeling is very different from watching TV.....you feel as one people, you felt the rush, you tears when you sang the National Anthem.....Ah.....maybe next year i proposes a marching contingent with the Sport Council.....(citition needed)
