| If I had the money, I'd go for this. It's not every day you get an opportunity like this. | |

I've struck some toto.... but only enough to take a taxi to the airport to watch you and your friends fly off for the trip.

Augusta town itself is very small and pretty boring. I did a detour on my roadtrip just to have a look at the famed entrance and Magnolia Lane and this was the closest I got It didn't help that it was late fall last year and the club was closed. They have an interesting name for their expressway to commemorate the greatest golfer to hail from there: There are no big name golf stores or Masters memorabilia there for sale as Augusta National GC holds the rights to the name itself and merchandising. You will be on a fruitless trail should you try and look for any golfing bargains during your time there. I suggest that you take the week before or after the Masters tournament to go check out Atlanta. Its a 2hr+ drive due west of Augusta and go visit one of those mega PGA Superstores. Its truly a golfer's playground akin to Toys R' us for kids: 8 hitting booths complete with simulators: An indoor bunker and chipping green for you to test out all the wedges: A super huge putting green to try out those brand new Odysseys and Scotty Camerons: Even TSL couldn't resist trying out some of the equipment and she gave the sims a go: And finally, interesting golf carts on display outside:
