| The day started with a downcast looking weather. Skies were getting darker and doubts started creeping in on how and if we can proceed with the game.
Just like previous game last sat, guess our sincere enthusiasm and goodwill spirit were more than enough to convince the skies gods to clear up. What we have fm weather perspective is just GREAT….cant be any better.
Before anything else, I will like to express my sincere BIG thank-you to the folks who took part. Putting the game aside, I am certain that we continue to build camaraderie among all of us for today and years to come.
Now the heartbreaking news!!!! It was brutal, it was ugly, it was a massacre. Totally no fight….the saddam-er (Eden, Poresia, ZhenXua & Pushslice) won 6 holes.
The folks in my flight (Techno, Rick and Dave) we had great fun involving 6s. First time playing with Rick and Dave and a Big Thank-you to both for your great companionship. @ Techno, though I had played with you many times, today I realized how and where one can further use one’s putter…..AMAZING!!!
On a personal front, I brought to the course my new driver shaft (well, not really new as it was bought fm someone). First 3 holes w/driver was abit hesitant but later got used to it and SUPER HAPPY and glad that I made this choice (Bro Nietsu: Thanks!!!).
Took a lot (and I mean A LOT) of positives with today’s game. Taking the bad lies aside, course management is one area which I need to pay more attention instead of just TCSS during the game. Lastly, to anyone who might still be hesitant about being Saddam….no worries, just like the apple guy said ‘ Stay Hungry, Stay foolish’…….so go on, take the challenge…..I came out with a bigger heart and warmer too.
And really lastly, I am a seasoned beginner…………………………………still
…………Just me ‘D’

I mentioned in the saddam thread that duval will come up with a very very long story. That's how well we know you by now, dear friend. But well said. Enjoyed reading it. Almost brought tears to my eyes.

| It's not a DS game if DS doesn't post an emo write-up I love his write-ups! Anyway, bro DS, I posted in the other thread that you've won the respect of 7 golfers (not that we didn't respect you before). You were amazing notwithstanding your loss. Your short game is vicious!! One chip, one putt. I think you can rival Poresia on this. Your driver was a little shaky at the start but once it got warmed up, it was deadly - crazy long and straight. I think the bunkers and waters got the better of your game but overall, I maintain that playing with you is (and has always been) really enjoyable (lots of tcss) I've seen how you play your shortgame and will try and follow suit. Deadly!! Congrats, buddy... you fought hard and you'll be back I'm sure! | |

So which is which, duval lost 6 holes or 1 hole? I lost lah.....must you bring this up again. Dont you even spare a tot for the wounded heart of mine ? Do you care a tiny weeny bit of my emotional scar ? Must you bring this episode up again? Am I to recall all the bunkers which somehow attracted to me? Why...why why...must this be re-surfaced? I am just a seasoned beginner..slowly turning into an EOL beginner liao
