What to get?

Hi all,

From past rounds, i'm noticing a gap in the distances of my game. I just sold away my 5 wood because it goes the same distance as my 4 iron, which i hit with less dispersion. My 4 iron goes about 170-180m at most.

My next longest club in the bag is the 3 wood, which goes about 200-210m when i hit it well.

Question is : i'm thinking of getting a hybrid to cover the 180-200m distance when needed. I choose a hybrid also because it could help get out of thick rough (which i am in a lot, cuz my driver sucks).

So would you recommend a 3 or 4 hybrid for my cause? And if so, which loft? I hope that i can get some help here. Thank you in advance..

Our distance is about the same and my setup is:

Driver (9*)
3W (15*)
Titleist 909H 4H (24*)
Miura Blade 4I (24*) - PW (48*)
60, 56, 52 wedges

I discovered that even thou the loft is the same between my 4I and 4H, the hybrid actually is a club longer.
In fact, previously I didnt have a 4 iron only the 4 hybrid but the distance gap between the 5 iron and 4 hybrid was too big.
Which prompted me to get the 4 iron and the distance gap now is just nice for me.
The 4 hybrid covers the gap between the 4 iron and 3 wood nicely for me.

This is just to share my experience.

I can only hit my 3 iron 180-190m. Hit rate: 65% good shot
2i hybrid 190 - 210m. Hit rate: 80% good shot
3 wood 200 - 230m. Hit rate: 40% good shot.
Even left with 220m I will still use my 2i cos less error.
Maybe you should opt for a 2i.
