| I think we should all do away with rules and regulations enforced externally. I believe that any disicpline shoudl be done by the parents ourselves...meaning, we should not have laws but only house laws. We should not have police but only parents. We should not have discipline master in school and only parents One of them who best demo this is as below...my idol: - Quote :
- Father storms into school after son's caning
Unhappy that his son had been caned in school, a father took matters into his own hands and stormed into the school's meeting room.
Police were alerted to the incident, which occurred on Tuesday afternoon at a well-known secondary school in the central area.
The parent created a scene and threatened the principal with assault. The heads of departments and the principal were in the middle of a staff meeting when he kicked the door open and barged in, reported the Lianhe Wanbao.
According to the Chinese daily, he was outraged as his son had been caned twice for disciplinary issues.
Said a source whom the paper spoke to: "The school will resort to caning only in cases of serious disciplinary problems and if students are unrepentant after being told off."
"Students can only be caned with the approval of higher authorities in the school, including the school principal. It cannot be carried out by a teacher without approval."

| Cane more la. You think the school will suka suka cane anyone meh?
If all you learn in school are from the books, what other reason is there to attend? Home-school your kids if you think social skills and discipline shouldn't be taught in school then.
I come from some crappy sec school where public caning was quite occasional. Most of the times, it was for wrongdoings like minor vandalism or hooliganism. Everyone thinks its pretty effective.
They should even consider expelling that kid if its Strike 3.

| if we dont have hooligans in society, there will be chaos. There must be a balance. The reason is if we dont have hooligans on the extreme left of the scale, then the current moderate becomes the new extreme left.
bad student picks on another student, if not punished, the victim suffers. bad behavior if not punished, will encourage other students if father is an idiot and the school dont correct this, the son/daughter will be an idiot
then again we do need idiots in society. if everybody is educated, smart, sensible and have a degree, they all will want a highly paid and glamorous job. Even a highly paid cleaner job is not enough.

| Wow now a day parents are different from my time. During my secondary school days, I got slapped by my discipline master just because i told my classmate that my relief teacher has worn his sock revised way. After the slap, you know what he asked me to do?
He asked me to call my mother to see him tomorrow, and i L L went home and told my mother.
She went there the next day and i kana F from her.
These days be a teacher is tough and children are hard to control.
