The security and freedoms you enjoy require the dedication and fearless approach to many dangerous tasks by your Armed Forces. Here's an example. You should be grateful and thank your lucky stars the men and women of Singapore's Armed Forces are ready, willing and able to do their job when called upon!!
THIS takes more than just a set of Big Coconuts!! It takes GUTZ and Endless Training!

Thanks for the wonderful support. Although I am from the Airforce, I really can feel the appreciation a typical person like you normally gives.
We definitely need more people like you to make Singapore a great place to defend and call home.

Ralph
The Coast Guard here flys a version called the Jayhawk.
It is configured primarily for Search & Rescue operations much like the Super Pumas back home. However, the airframe, engines and workings like flight control systems are basically pretty similar to what we have.
As to what the S70B can do, here's a summary of it:

could it have been used to look for Mas Selamat swimming across the Straits?
really its a serious question, how small a target can it track? Was the shooting at India was from the terrorist traveling in small rubber boat?

If i am not wrong , as they are using sonar to detect unidentified target, most likely it shd be able to detect submarine or anything that emitting pulses. I don't think it would be able to detect a human ba.
This is purely my guess as i am from Army haha not RSN / RSAF. I only know my own AHHTI can detect human lol
