| Does anyone know where I can get foam golf balls for indoor practice?
Something like the "Almost golf" golf balls: http://www.almostgolf.com/index.php/Practice-Ball-Technology/
Just started lessons with shorthitter over the weekend, thinking of getting something to practice while at home in the evening.
Thanks

| Golf House will have the plastic ones.. But I think the feel is very different. Practice putting at home.. Go range to practice your irons and drivers. | |

| The feeling for the plastic balls would be very different I'm sure. Plus at my current stage of incompetency the plastic balls would definitely be a hazard to all glass surface in my room My aim for using the foam balls is just to practice my swing with some visual feedback, plus seeing something fly should make me more motivated to practice everyday | |

My aim for using the foam balls is just to practice my swing with some visual feedback, plus seeing something fly should make me more motivated to practice everyday Navik, I think if you are seeking the foam balls similar to 'almost golf', they would probably cause more damage in the house than the plastic 'wiffle' balls. The link indicates that the foam balls fly one third the distance, so they would have enough mass and energy to at the very least knock over vases. The 'wiffle' balls are hollow with holes in them using air resistance to slow down the ball. I think if you head down to Far East Shopping Centre, you should be able to find both in the many shops there. Just my thoughts for you to consider.

| I got mine from pan west and have been practicing my chipping in my room using them. They really do fly some distance.. so you have to be careful when using them. | |

| Navik, Sorry, still too newbie to be able to send PM. You can get them at around 15 bucks, comes in pack of 6 balls. Can't say if it's the same as the ones on the website since I don't know the construction of the foam balls I have. But my coach recommend that I get them to practice my chipping, and it did improve my chipping.
To me, that's all that matters :-)

| i have tried most of the foam balls out in the market. best is still the floppy balls. but quite ex thou and you need to ship it from US. It gives you almost the feel of hitting a real golf ball unlike hitting foam balls which is too light. http://www.thefloppy.com/ | |

| For sponge balls, you can get and Pan West; I bought a pack of 6 balls (Ram brand) for $ 12/-.
Sometimes got 50% off when they are having their sales.
You can also buy a pack of 4 practice balls similar to this http://sklz.com/golf-practice-aids/golf-practice-balls as Daiso for $ 2/-.
I use the sponge ones and they are OK for me.

My aim for using the foam balls is just to practice my swing with some visual feedback, plus seeing something fly should make me more motivated to practice everyday nayik, May I suggest, If you just wanted to practice your swing at home. There is a devise in the market, it is a board and have a plastic golf ball hang on it. You just swing at it and the ball will just around. For a little price higher, there is another model that come with a swing meter attach on the board that can show you, the speed of your swing too ( or it is how far, do not remember). I do not remember the name of this devise but you do not need much space .. good enough for living room or small garden.

| the rainbow balls are slightly smaller than actual balls.
The ones in sklz are too light
There is another type that looks like a real golf balls, with the dimples... it is abt the size of a golf ball and heavier than the above two.
