| Not sure if it is still available, I saw a set of new Akira irons in Cash converter the last time I visit Jurong. I thought it is pretty good value for money. | |

| Thanks to all for sharing their experiences... I guess it boils down to personal preference.
Heard that there is a shop call Creative Golf at Kreta Ayer selling resale clubs. Anyone bought from there before?

| That's Joe's shop. Good chap, prices are quite reasonable. I got a 975F 13.5* FW w/ EI-70 X-flex shaft there for just SGD100. A friend of mine bought a Ping Anser for just SGD40 and restored it himself | |

- Hi,
Just started my beginners course for PC. Thought of acquiring my personal clubs for practice, esp during GSS....: Hi TTM if you intend to get a new set of beginner clubs... bring along a friend who has been playing golf for a while and knows the market. He/She can advice you if the set is good value for money... Don't get swayed by the sales person to get an expensive set. Cheers

| It would be better to buy one by one, less the iron set i guess. But it would be even better to invest the money in lesson instead. When you go for lesson, in general, the coach will provide/lend you the clubs for practise. Check with the coach before signing up.
My coach loan me Taylor Mades for the lesson and let me tried Ping G15, steel and graphite. I love the Ping but could not afford it so bought a set of Mizuno irons instead. I am still building up the rest of my bag progressively.

| Buy used models which are one or two generations from current. The depreciation would probably have linear-ed and would not lose much when you sell to upgrade in future. | |

| Fai74, agree. I usually go to Creative to get my stuff instead of Far East. When I go Far East, sometime i get overwhelmed by the range and get confused. Prefer Creative, maybe i dig that layout. | |

| just to share, learnt basic swing etc using friend's yonex. decided on graphite vs steel shaft, forged vs cast etc and did some research before buying iron set during GH sale. After that, almost every other club got 2nd hand from Creative golf at kreta ayer. He has a website with fairly updated pics to browse which helps. So many people sell off their new toys to get newer ones. Just wait for them to sell and buy at low price! | |

| i would recommend buy something cheap or 2nd hand first .... spend the money on coaching ... save the rest of the money ... when u r ready ... go for the best one you can afford..... | |
