| I've bought from gsmith, golfio, tgw and rockbottom. All brand new stuff. Shipping abt the same, but i mainly use vpost spore. My fave is golfsmith coz they have good customization option and live help on US hours, they usually give disc on US public holidays, else price a bit higher. Golfio price is slightly cheaper, rockbottom is great for old, closeout models like cg14, tm burner etc. | |

| Thanks pushslice for the detailed reply.
Care to share what r e shipping rates when u ship via vpost from US to SG for: 1) 1 pc driver? 2) a set of irons?
cos for TGW, using their 'in-house' shipping to SG, 1pc driver is ~US48 n 1 set irons is ~US65. Hence I's like to compare before committing.

| Hi batman, if u order from one website, ask them to pack all clubs in one box. Multiple boxes may cost more via vpost. A box with a driver inside is approx. 125cmx14cmx14cm. Find how much an iron weigh from the shipping info of the website(1kg??). Once u have estimate of total weight, use the online calculator on vpost website to calculate total cost. If the box include irons, the actual weight should be higher than volumetric weight. A box with only driver inside will be charged its volumetric weight.
Splitting boxes may give u gst savings if each invoice were less than s$400.
Shipping directly from US may cost the same or less than as vpost depending on no. Of box and actual/volumetric weight. U can email cust service at the websites tofind out the box measurements or total weigh etc. What clubs are u looking to buy? I trust u've seen the prices in spore. Some brands are worth buying here during a big sale.

| keep it coming guys... it sure benefits me as now I know which are the more 'reputable' websites. coming back, pushslice, i'm looking at getting a set of Cobra S2 Max w/ 3,4hybrid in steel shafts setup as SG does not have it. they only bring in the graphite set and also thanks for ur info regarding the package dimension. i did a calculation from vpost n m sure that their rates aint cheap as compared to TGW.com in house forwarder's rates.

if yr purchase price coverted to SGD + insurance is above SGD400 then u will be billed GST and payable upon delivery by courier company. Most probably yr freight charges was already paid.

Last month when i get my stuffs from 3balls.com, FedEx paid the GST and they send me an invoice to collect it from me thereafter - not upon delivery by courier company. That is how i settled the GST for your info.

| Anyone bought full set of irons (4-PW) from 3balls before? Is their shipping of USD$69.95 worth it or better to use vPost?
Have send them an email to ask for box dimensions and weight waiting for reply

Thanks Batman! Just in case anyone else is interested, based on 43" x 5" x 6" / 20lbs for a 5-PW iron set its almost $111SGD probably 2 weeks to get everything over. Direct Fedex from eBay seller is $70USD/$100SGD

| there u go protyne.
i'd rather use e shipper from e respective ebay seller/ website directly. cos its more straight-forward n u dun need to worry much. end of e day, we still need to pay e shipping charges anyway....
