Quote :: A CREDIT CARD promotion by Citibank, offering golfing privileges to card holders at various country clubs, has landed the bank in a legal wrangle.

Laguna National Golf and Country Club has sued the bank, contending that Citibank had made falsely stated claims on its website and in a newspaper article that card holders could enjoy access to the club's golfing facilities.

The club says there was no such tie-up and that the bank's malicious statements had 'seriously injured' its business and caused it to suffer losses.
