Hi all...

Just will like to ask if anyone knows if there are nice places to play in HK?
Need handicaps or anything?

I have not played in HK before but I know golf is a very exclusive sport there, so I will presumed it will be a pre requisite there to have HC. Just expressing my thoughts. I could be wrong though.

try discovery bay, just a bus ride from the air port.
Not too sure you need a card.

Hi Bentoh84, the only public golf course is Kau Sai Chau which is owned by the HK Jockey club. You will have to take a ferry to the island. For a weekend, it is not cheap. I think you need to pay about S$200+. One thing you need to know is that the interval between flights is only about 4 mins. The marshall will start chasing you from the first tee shot! We played there on a weekday once and they started chasing us from 2nd shot onwards from the first hole even though we were waiting for the green to clear. Needless to say, our game went downhill from there. The view is fantastic though.

SBH, for discovery bay, it is a member course and I think you need a member to bring you on. If i am not wrong, there is reciporal with either Laguna or TMCC here.

I will be playing in HK Jun 15-19. I plan to play at least 2 games in HKGC at Fanling, near China border. I can sign you in as guest but it will cost you HK$1,800 per round.

Or you can cross over into Shenzhen and play at about rmb500-800 per round, dependning on which course.

KSC is not an easy experience for beginer golfers so unless you are a mid-low handicapper, you may not enjoy it. The course is tough compared with thos in Singapore/Malaysia. You also need to have recognised hdcp cert to play there.
