For those who don't know, Yasmin Ahmad passed away last night. You may not be familiar with her name but you would be with her work.
For Malaysians, she helped promote multi-culturalism. Her work was often seen in the yearly Petronas ads and always captured what, I believe, many Malaysians want but don't often see. Here's one of her best (and my personal favorite):
RIP Yasmin. You and your wok will be sorely missed.

Walau.....just sometime back, I thought one of the SG 's ministry was asking her to direct one ad......very sad...her adverts are very to the heart...
any idea how she passed away?

Actually it was a stroke which, I think, resulted in her going into possibly a coma which she never woke up from.
