| Can we add a reliable weather forecast to the main page of this forum?
I always visit this forum anwyay. convenient to have the weather forecast in the same sitting.
Last few times I went to play golf, mother nature dont really like me.
Always either Rain or lightning risk.
For me, playing golf is a luxury.... must take leave from work and wife aside from paying the green fee. So the cost of each game is really high.
Last time I took leave, drove all the way to malaysia just to play 3 holes.
Another time, I took leave just to spend time sitting in the cafe of the club.
Wadaya think of my suggestion? steady?

| if we put weather feature and if the weather comes out different from the weather forecast, then how? I can just picture some people blaming the forum's weather forecast feature and saying that it was incorrect, inaccurate, etc etc. | |

| Think this is a good idea, but there is a need to quantify that this is for reference only and GR should not be blamed if mother nature decide to go against prediction from human technology... | |

Sadly, most weather forecasts aren't always reliable, if at all. But it's a good suggestion nonetheless. I typically use: - Singapore: http://www.weather.gov.sg/wip/web/home/further_outlook (or http://app2.nea.gov.sg/12hnowcast.aspx) - Malaysia: http://www.met.gov.my/

| Actually I been listening to radio for a long while...and kinda able to rehearse the weather broadcast. It goes somthing like this: - Quote :
- Todays weather is going to be sunny with occasional showers.....
I am so surprised...many times they are rite...

| Ya. ok. then we add in the disclaimer when members join the forum .... that they shld not blame GR for inaccurate weather broadcast. Put font 6....kekeke
I think its a useful tool as golfers and their activities are highly dependent on the weather. We shld be able to see the forecast at least for Singapore and JB.
Whether it is reliable or not, we shld be mature enuff to be responsible for our own actions and not blame GR for the wrong weather.

| I have tried many weather forecast websites for the past 1 year as I used to reference them on my blog, but it seems that the thing that most of them will forecast SG or JB weather varies from "Thunderstorms in the afternoon" to "Scattered Thunderstorm in the afternoon" and I am playing under the hot sun at the same time. Recently I used my Traffic Cam on my IPhone to check for showers in that area... Not really helpful in the morning but great for afternoon games before I leave the office. | |

titu Titu- u forgot to add "in certain areas" or "parts of Singapore". Yup. You are correct. I missed those. Always goes like this " Isolated showers and thunders over different parts of Singapore ". Very accurate leh. titu

| weather forecasts are never that accurate.
i minimize the 'inaccuracy' by observing the weather about 5 days, then plus the taste of salt and water content in the air...
then....
still rain in the end....
