| Hi Guys,
Decided to bite the bullet and purchase my first set of clubs.
However, I've been searching for the Adams A7OS Max irons set in retail stores, but seems like only Golf House carries Adams, and they only carry the A7OS Irons (3-5 hy, 6-SW irons). Trying to look for the full hybrid set if possible
Has anyone seen the set i'm looking for in Singapore, or should I just go to ebay to purchase my set?
Regards! | |

| Hi Elysium
Welcome to GR.
Just out of curiosity, why would you need to seek out a full hybrid set? You have found that you have a preference for hybrids over irons?
IMHO most of the super game improvement sets are already maximised for helping newbies. So even for a first set you should still consider at least shorter irons in the set. That would probably last you a bit longer as you progress in your game.

| Hi bono,
I recently got a chance to try out my friend's hybrid 3-4-5 clubs and found that I could hit it much easier than I could hit my short irons. Shots were consistent about 90% of the time. So I figured I would try out a full hybrid set.
Perhaps I should just wait it out until I at least get my PC ? I've only just started learning since Feb and still have a long way to go.
What I do worry about is that by using the full hybrid set, would my fundamentals for short irons be affected in the long run?
Regards.

| This Adams A70S Max looks very similar to my Cleveland XLi hybrid irons set! How much it is selling at Ebay? | |

| Last I saw, it was selling for about $850 from Ebay, with shipping and everything , it should come in just under 1100? | |

| Bro Elysium, r u using the same Adam brand when u hit your friend's 3-4-5H? If u r really serious looking into hybrid iron, maybe u wan to try out XLi set before making any decisions. The price is much cheaper compared to what u quoted. XLi also very forgiving for beginners like me. | |

| No, the clubs weren't from Adams, I believe they were Dunlop John Daly clubs. I never realised that Cleveland made hybrid iron sets but I will def go down to Pan-West to take a look.
Thank you so much! | |

OIC... i think there are other factors to consider apart from just club head type for example shaft type and flex. Of course if you feel more confident with a hybrid head then half the battle is won. - Elysium wrote:

I doubt so as hybrids are supposed to be similar to irons in terms of swing fundamentals. Then again, I am no expert since my swing so so only.. the other more seasoned kakis here may be more apt to answer this. Enjoy your game

| Hi Elysium
Welcome to GR. If you are looking for hybrid sets. There are a number of brands carried here in SG. Cobra has set named Transition S. Callaway also have a version BB Fusion Widesole I think. In any case, Adams is a good bet. Happy shopping.
