Question on Hybrids and Drivers ?

Since it's a sat afternoon and kind of a lazy one, While i'm still having my beginner lesson. Can anyone share with me is there such thing called beginner wood / driver / hybrid ?? I understand for Irons there are game improvement sets and etc. But how abt the rest ??

Good question.

Yes there's a Driver for beginners.

In my own experience, Newbies in golf struggle to fight "SLICE" or push slice, at times, when using their Golf Drivers off the tee mount.
So golf club manufacturing companies make certain drivers to help Newbies.

They are often branded as Driver with the word "Draw" or "Offset". These drivers are usually 2* ( degree ) closed and their shaft are usually lighter and come in the form of Regular flex.
They also have a loft of 10.5, 11*, 11*5, 12*.

As for Fairway wood, Yes, a few Golf makers like Taylormade & MacGregor carries fairway & hybrid that have "draw". You can browse some infos Here

Maybe should be more forgiving set than beginner set.
But agree with bro hybrid on using draw biased driver for beginner, based on my experience.

Thanks for your input bro, but is it a must for these drivers come in form of regular shaft? Personally wherever i goes, people see my size and tell me not to waste time on graphite shaft ( that is for my iron ) But is it the same case for selection of shaft for drivers ? Big size = stiff flex ??

on hindsight when i first started golf, i shouldnt have buy n play the driver..... too difficult to control, cost me too many balls n tons of frustration

rather focus on getting consistency on the irons n mayb on the hybrids/fairway woods.......golf should be progressive, no point playing driver when u cant control the irons

not just draw biased drivers, but there are also drivers with offsets. cobra has it, so does adams

Thanks for your input. I'm making pretty decent progress with my irons , in such i'm getting a hybrid first, but are there draw biased hybrid ? Is Cobra Transition S Hybrid considered forgiving for a beginner?

dun know abt Cobra but TM has the draw biased hybrid, bought for my wife, she couldnt be happier.......

good to know u are making progress on your irons, just want u to know there is nothing wrong teeing off irons, u may not reach the greens on 2 but as long as your iron shots are straight, it sure beats climbing up/down looking for the ball.... u pay to play, not to get frustrated

No doubt super game-improvement irons fix all hooks and slices... but woods and hybrids? honestly unheard of. as far as i am concerned. 460cc is already beginner driver. if 460cc also do air shot, sorry dude, driver heads do not get any bigger than this.

I do not think there is anything such as beginner driver, woods and hybrid.
