| Raquel: already had one at lunch but if you can twang, I don't mind going driving 60 kms for a drink at Highlander. What say you? The X7 is about S$600 from Euraco Fine Foods and each iperpresso caosule is abotu S$1. Not got the machine yet, but will get one very soon as I'm getting sick and tired of driving such long distances to get a shot. Bear in mind that no auto or semi-auto machine can give you a comparable shot like at Highlander, but its mainly for the convenience of an acceptable cuppa. | |

| oned10t: no probs, but surely your manhour rate is worth more the time it takes to come to the east for a capsule cuppa? if you wanna test drive the x7, call Celine Lo of Euraco at 6276 5433 and you'll be able to have all the different shots you want out of the x7, plus they are located at Henderson, which is a lot more central. | |

TNRM: why need to drive 60km? go around the whole of Singapore huh? A cup of coffee a day is good for me, 2nd cup only if I'm very sleepy around coffee time!

| Raquel: Cause I'm in Changi and Highlander is in Outram. Anyway, they close about 6 pm, so if you wanna have a cuppa, not much time left. Ball in your court... | |

| alucard: thanks for the lead. I understand that SegaFredo was started several years ago ostensibly as an investment vehicle and they stumbled onto coffee on the side? In fact, their coffee cafe's are only 1 of their many portfolio companies? Kinda like the argument of why horologists view current Panarai's with disdain.

| Hmm not sure about that. But I just like their coffee. Be it yakun, toastbox or segafredo, as long as the coffee is good I drink. Hehehehhh - TNRM wrote:

| I guess I'm one of those wierd people who may it a point to support local mom & pop businesses rather than large conglomerates (if this option exists). Otherwise in the end, Walmarts will rule the world. which explains my penchant for Highlander. | |

| same here, but sometimes when in need of a quick fix, no choice but to find the nearest ones. otherwise, there is an old shop along upper east coast road (near a church) that I really like for their coffee and toasted bread. | |

Chn Bee Chin....and the half boiled eggs with the toasted raisin or plain bun swith homemade kaya. then theres one at the corner coffee shop at Keong Siak Street. Old school charm and style is still one of the best. the person who consumes the most coffee i have seen is Kopi Towkay. DGman

| There is one in Liang Court 2nd flr. They offer freshly brewed and instant ones. Its pretty strong, kinda like triple shot of espresso. What i like about Vietnamese coffee is the aroma.
Raquel, Joo Chiat, which part?

| Reading this thread enjoying my morning coffee from my Bialetti moka express stove top,

while watching file footage of the 2005 Masters.
When I am out and about it is espresso (latte, mocha, cappuccino, macchiatto etc) or nothing.

Like the convenience. Reasonable good coffee. Do get the milk frother. You can go their shop for free tasting. If you're going Europe, can buy the machine or capsules there, much cheaper.
