20-30 bucks for ball markers is expensive to me Very Happy

Hello to All..

Im a newbie to golf, and am keen to take up beginner's lessons.
Just wondering if any of you is also interested too?
Can pm me if interested.

I guess most of you are already experts already..
Can anyone share some tips on how to evaluate the right beginner's course?
( eg: what should be covered in the lessons, how much would be reasonable, how to evaluate the coach.. etc etc )

Hey Ladyharken,

What I did was sign up at the driving range in Bishan. Had about 20 personal lessons, which for me works better - flexibility, individual attention etc. It included like 4 on the green sessions (at Palm Springs, Batam), if I remember correctly. Think I paid about S$1,800 or less (includes lessons, green fees and a custom fitted 7 iron).

Coach wise, the initial one that i had, i wasnt too pleased with - didnt like his too casual approach and swapped for another, within the same academy, which I appreciated.

Think everyone has different methods of learning as do the pros have differing approaches to teaching... different strokes for different folks!

By the way, am far from being an expert. Started lessons last December and only started going on the course this June! So - go figure!

Instead, I finished my lessons with Mash. The indonesia guy, same Academy and felt that he is much more adequate.
