| Subject: intro & WIMB...looking for female kakis (not for me) :) Tue Feb 23, 2010 10:20 pm | |
| Been on the forum for a short while, posting and being a kay poh thus finally decided to introduce myself. Started golf in 2000 back in Dubai and played a few courses in the Middle East and Africa (with Tunisia being the best experience). Has not been playing regularly since 2004 due to work/ living overseas (where golf is pretty inaccessible). Finally back in Singapore in the beginning of '09 and golfing more frequently now. Just joined NSRCC late last year and got my wife into golf as well. We are both learning from Phil Brew and recently passed our PC tests. I had a handicap but it was not current thus decided to get a new one from the beginning; as well as accompany my wife throught the PC to handicap process. We go to NSRCC maybe 2-4 times a week, for class, range, chipping and putting practice. I try to play at least once or twice a month in NSRCC (weekdays and weekends) but should be playing more evening 9 holes (to submit for handicap) when my wife comes back. Looking for more female kakis for my wife as it can get a bit boring i supposed for her, to always play with men. I golf in Malaysia too on a semi-regular basis and enjoy Legends and Horizon Hills the most. Finally, here is whats in my bag..... | |

| Nice set. Nicer putter. Even nicer irons.
Just curious, do you have a distance gap between the hybrid and 5 iron?

| yeah..looking for a 24* hybrid to fill that gap. i dont look for maxing out distance and quite content to lay up. If i can do a 1 chip 1 putt then great else i am ok with 1 chip 2 putts (bogey aint the worse score).
trying to be more accurate with my 5-7 irons now, hopefully will improve GIR and thus score.

yeah i agree, my fairway percentage is very good with this driver. with confidence, i am able to just swing thru' and not worry too much. as a result distance has been improving as well.

Just curious, do you have a distance gap between the hybrid and 5 iron? just to add...i also have a gap between my driver and 19*H but i am not too worried and taking my time to complete my set. tried the TM burner 3W and it felt good so probably will look out for a cheap head and get it shafted. so i am looking for TM 3W, Titleist 24*H and a Vokey SM 52* wedge to complete my set. I like Mark Higgs so will probably get the 3W and maybe even the Hybrids shafted with him. He did a great job recommending and shafting the Accra shaft on my driver.
