| Dear brother, Someone is offering me a full set (brand new) John Daly golf set with bag for S$800. As a newbie, not sure if it suit me or worth buying it? Any comments are welcome. Many thanks | |

| I thought john daly was related to the brand hippo golf? Did the person offer any details? What are the specs? I think it is a bit pricey and you can buy quite decent 2nd set with 8xx buckaroo. | |

| I thought JD was a Callaway guy, but that was years ago
For SGD800, you can buy some really good stuff
Here's how you can budget:
1. bag - SGD80 to SGD100 2. driver - SGD150 3. hybrid (21* or 24*) - SGD120 4. irons - SGD300 5. sand wedge - SGD60 6. putter - SGD100

| Not sure about the specs though. What will be a good price to buy then? Is it suitable for beginner? | |

| Please be careful about choosing beginner clubs. Must first assess the level of beginner-ness, and how far you intend to use these clubs till. Cuz some of these clubs, while they are alright if you're just looking to groove the golf swing, they can also limit your progress pass a certain stage in your swing. Personally I'd advice against beginner clubs and just get an intermediate club set, they're on sale almost everywhere e.g. Golf House, World Of Golf, and are not marketed as beginner sets. They should range anywhere from 400-800 for a decent 12club set, usually graphite shafted irons(just not as flexible as beginner sets), and normally comes with a bag. Again, personal preference. I can't swing beginner clubs for nuts Good luck my friend! | |

| Do you know that John Daly's club is also made by Dunlop?
The distributor of Dunlop golf clubs in our country carries onlly one brand, and they sell John Daly clubs at a premium price.
But still a lot cheaper than other brands
