Hi Ahhoe,

MGK is short for my golf kaki, an "estateless" golf club started by Singapore Labour Foundation for NTUC members.

MGK is currently managed by NCI Golf, which operates Marina Bay Golf Course and Tanglin Golf Course.

MGK members get to enjoy corporate union rates at OCC, which are substantially lower than visitor or guest rates.

Joining MGK costs $171.2 a year, $128.4 if you are above 55 OR $64.20 if you are already a member of a golf club registered with Singapore Golf Association.

To put your name on the list to play with us is FREE!

But to enjoy the corporate union rate, you will have to join NTUC and my golf kaki

Hi Ahhoe,

NTUC membership is a must if you want to join mgk. As NSRCC member, you can join for $117 (NTUC) and 64.20 (MGK) a year.

However, if you just want to play with us at OCC, just stick your name on the list. No need to join another club.

However, the difference between the guest rates and the mgk rate is substantial enough that most people join mgk if they intend to play at OCC more than 2 times in a year (or 1 time on a weekend).

Is it true that Associate member only get benefits to play OCC n MBGC, and not Keppel, Seletar n Changi?

Any other differences other than membership fee n hcp maintenance?

So, as a NSRCC member, do we sign for Ordinary or Associate member? TIA...

Associate members do not get any perks at MBGC and Keppel.

For the other clubs, all MGK membership types enjoy the same perks.

If you are getting the MGK membership mainly to enjoy benefits at OCC then Associate Membership is sufficient.

Aside from this, differences include:

1) There is no term membership (and the promotional vouchers) available for Associate Membership
2) Renewal goodies are normally better for Ordinary and Senior Members
3) Associate Members do not qualify for MGK loyalty program
